15billionebp ran Dragons Den at Central Park Primary on 31st March 2017.
Dragons Den is the year 6 theme for World of Work Week designed to promote team work, communication skills, presentation skills and problem solving skills. Children form ‘companies’ and are given a task to design a product which solves a problem. They complete business plans detailing the costs of production and at the end of the week the children present their products to a panel of ‘Dragons’ (business professionals from a range of organisations).
Very enjoyable day – impressed by the children’s creativity, enthusiasm and great presentations!
Accenture VolunteerThat was awesome! Kids were so well prepared and put a lot of thought into it. I’d love to come back!
Accenture Volunteer120 children took part in Dragons Den at Central Park Primary and a team of 18 volunteers from Accenture, as well as the Borough Commander for Newham and a volunteer from KPMG sat on the judging panels.
The programme was extremely well received. All four classes of children rated the programme Very Good or Good and found the experience worthwhile. All four teachers and 100% of volunteers felt that the workshop achieved its aims to develop children’s team work, communication and presentation skills.
Fantastic concept, exceptional engagement from talented young people. Pleasure to help.
