East London Students See Redevelopment In Action at The International Quarter London

Date
19.03.2018

On Friday 16th March 2018, students from three East London secondary schools visited The International Quarter London development in Stratford. Volunteers from Lendlease got students thinking about innovative redevelopment in the local area, helping to bring their geography curriculum to life.

The Lendlease Challenge tasks Year 9 students with creating a design for a new development in The International Quarter London. As part of the project, participating students got to take a look round one of the fascinating construction sites, with Site Managers explaining the thought behind the development. Students will be able to take inspiration from the day as they prepare for the finale, which will take place on Friday 20th April 2018.

I have worked on my communication skills, teamwork & my open views on how it will help the community.

The Lendlease Challenge, March 2018

As well as raising awareness of The International Quarter development, The Lendlease Challenge also seeks to educate the participants about careers in constructions. Throughout the programme, students are developing essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, research, and presenting. We are excited to see how they take on the challenge!
