Volunteers from Barclays, Thomson Reuters, and Network Rail, amongst others, worked closely with students on activities such as CV writing, and interview role plays. Dressed in office attire, the students engaged impressively with the volunteers; really taking advantage of the opportunity to ask their honest advice. One volunteer commented that the students were ‘so animated and involved’.

The day was transformative for students who gave some thought to their future education and career choices. The chance to begin their CV, role play an interview, and ask questions to business volunteers is a real motivation to succeed in their current studies. The volunteers were extremely positive about their interactions with Eastlea students, and the day was a great success.
