European Project Inspires London Practitioners

Looking at how to best bridge the gap between young people and the world of work, practitioners working with young, disadvantaged people across London’s diverse boroughs attended an networking event as part of 15billionebp’s Euro iVET programme.

Euro iVET, an Erasmus funded project, seeks to support practitioners working to support young, disadvantaged people in urban Europe into further education, employment and training. We invited practitioners from London Youth, The Department for Work and Pensions, and Testhouse, amongst others, to this networking event in order to share with them the progress of the project.

It was interesting and beneficial to hear varying opinions on this important topic from a group of people who have first-hand experience of bridging the gap

The Euro iVET project, now in its third year of development, will be coming to an end in Autumn 2018. Partners from London (UK), Uppsala (Sweden), Berlin (Germany, Dublin (Ireland) and Marseille (France) have been working collaboratively to create a curriculum aimed at practitioners like those attending the networking event. The Final Conference will take place on Thursday 12th July, bringing together stakeholders from all of the partner countries.
