Newham College students boost their employability skills

On 23rd November 2017 (Thanksgiving!) 25 volunteers from T.Rowe Price, a top US Asset Management firm, worked closely with 50 students from Newham College on various employability-related activities.

Students learned about asset management by playing a high-paced game and completing a quiz about T. Rowe Price. Evaluations showed a huge shift in understanding of the industry. Students were supported to make great improvements to their CVs.

I found the event very useful. I have developed my skills further through this.

Throughout the day, students and volunteers were encouraged to network to find out more about jobs and career paths.

During a Group Task, students competed to present their ideas for a fundraising event.

The winning team and eight ‘stand-out’ students all showed excellent engagement and effort; as a prize 15 students will be welcomed to T.Rowe Price for a morning in 2018.
